Football Game Preview: Marbury Bulldogs vs. Sylacauga Aggies + Official Tickets

The Marbury Bulldogs will venture away from home to square off against the Sylacauga Aggies at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Marbury is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.

Marbury is likely headed into the contest with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Sipsey Valley last Friday. The Bulldogs were just a hair shy of victory and fell 20-19 to the Bears.

Meanwhile, Sylacauga came up short against Valley on Friday and fell 42-35. While losing is never fun, the Aggies can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama football rankings (they are ranked 209th, while the Rams are ranked 72nd).

Marbury will have to contain Cj Franklin as he made an impact in Sylacauga's last game. He rushed for 137 yards and a pair of TDs, and also threw for 344 yards and two touchdowns.

Sylacauga now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Marbury, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-5.

Marbury couldn't quite get it done against Sylacauga when the teams last played back in October of 2024 as they fell 7-0. Can the Bulldogs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
