Basketball Recap: Brooke Fowler's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Parkwood over West Stanly

Parkwood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. 2025 welcomed they with a 54-32 loss courtesy of the West Stanly Colts. The Wolf Pack were probably out for revenge after losing 51-49 to them when the teams met back in January of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Parkwood's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brooke Fowler, who posted nine points and seven rebounds. Fowler is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Izabella Delli Colli, who had ten points.

Parkwood's record is now 3-11. As for West Stanly, their victory bumped their record up to 9-5.

Parkwood will challenge Anson at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for West Stanly, they will square off against Monroe at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Monroe is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 62.2 points per game this season.
