Volleyball Game Preview: Tates Creek Commodores vs. Fleming County Panthers

The Tates Creek Commodores will face off against the Fleming County Panthers at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Fleming County took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Tates Creek, who comes in off a win.

Having struggled with five losses in a row dating back to last season, Tates Creek turned things around against Western Hills on Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Wolverines, sneaking past 3-2.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Tates Creek who won the one that mattered. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 19-25, 25-16, 24-26, 21-19.

Meanwhile, Fleming County lost 3-0 to Lafayette on Tuesday. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 25-14, 25-10.

Fleming County's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Tates Creek, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Tates Creek took their win against Fleming County when the teams last played back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0. Will Tates Creek repeat their success, or does Fleming County have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
