Denmark extended their winning streak to three on Friday, bumping their season record up to 13-5 in the process. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Freedom Irish an 8-0 shutout. The Vikings might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matchups by eight runs or more this season.

As for Freedom, their loss ended an 11-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 12-5. Having soared to a lofty 14 runs in the game before, their shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

For Freedom's part, Kailey Stordeur spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and five unearned) runs on 11 hits and racked up seven Ks.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Denmark beat the Irish by a score of 6-2 later that day.
