Preview: Chatham Panthers vs. Tamarac Bengals

Chatham has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will face off against the Tamarac Bengals at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Saturday, Chatham was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 53-48 to Rensselaer.

Meanwhile, Tamarac's 20-4 record from last season is now well into the rear view mirror after another tough outing. They took a 81-62 bruising from Stillwater on Friday. While losing is never fun, Tamarac can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 404th, while Stillwater is ranked 11th).

Despite the defeat, Tamarac got a solid performance out of Adam Rice, who scored 28 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. Rice hasn't dropped below 15points for nine straight games. Another player making a difference was Kamerin Edmonds, who scored 21 points along with five assists and two steals.

Chatham now has a losing record at 6-7. As for Tamarac, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season.

Chatham came out on top in a nail-biter against Tamarac in their previous meeting back in December of 2015, sneaking past 67-65. Does Chatham have another victory up their sleeve, or will Tamarac turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
