Softball Preview: Aptos Mariners vs. Soquel Knights
The Aptos Mariners are on the road again on Tuesday to play the Soquel Knights at 4:30 p.m. Soquel took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Aptos, who comes in off a win.
Last Thursday, Aptos had just enough and edged San Lorenzo Valley out 4-2.
Aptos saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Raegan Fulton, who scored a run while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was Lanies Nunez, who went 1-for-3 with a triple and an RBI.
Meanwhile, sadly, Soquel is still looking for their first win of the season after 12 matches. They fell just short of Santa Cruz by a score of 9-7 on Thursday. One positive for Soquel, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.
Aptos is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. As for Soquel, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-12.
