Football Recap: Peach County Trojans vs. Veterans Warhawks        
        
		
             Peach County came tearing into  Tuesday's  game with four straight wins  (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 14 points) and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with  a   20-7  victory over the Veterans Warhawks. Given the Trojans' advantage  in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings  (they are ranked 22nd, while the Warhawks are ranked 89th), the result  wasn't entirely unexpected.
 Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Peach County to victory, but perhaps none more so than   Ariana Respress, who threw for 86 yards and two touchdowns.  Uzi Rumph got in on the action as well, converting a pick into a touchdown.
 Peach County didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. Rumph picked up that interception and then proceeded to rub salt in the wound by taking it back the other way for a touchdown.
 Peach County is  on a roll lately: they've  won eight of their last nine matches,  which provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record  this season. Those good results were due in large part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 5.6 points per game. As for Veterans,  they are  on  a  three-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 3-5.
 Coincidentally, Peach County and Veterans will both be playing Houston County the next time they take the field. Peach County will head out to face Houston County at 5:00  p.m.  on Thursday, while Veterans will  host them  at 5:00  p.m.  on Tuesday.
