Basketball Recap: Stranahan Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Victory

Stranahan extended their postseason success on Monday against Central. They enjoyed a cozy 74-57 victory over the Central Rockets. The win was familiar territory for the Mighty Dragons, who have now won four matches in a row.

Christian Yeargin was nothing short of spectacular: he dropped a double-double with 24 points and ten rebounds. Those ten boards gave him a new career-high. Pradd Maurice was another key player, putting up 17 points.

Central lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Keri Foster, who went 6-for-11 en route to 15 points along with seven rebounds and six assists. The game was his seventh in a row with at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Justin Suarez, who went 7-for-17 on his way to 14 points and seven boards.

Stranahan's victory bumped their record up to 22-7. As for Central, their loss dropped their record down to 17-9.

Looking ahead, Stranahan will face off against St. Brendan at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. St. Brendan knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 12 contests -- so hopefully Stranahan likes a good challenge. Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
