Basketball Game Preview: Babcock Trailblazers vs. Mason Classical Academy Paladins

Babcock is 4-0 against Mason Classical Academy since December of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Babcock Trailblazers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Mason Classical Academy Paladins at 6:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Babcock has three straight victories, Mason Classical Academy has 20 straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Last Friday, Babcock made easy work of Sarasota Military Academy and carried off a 52-32 win. The Trailblazers pushed the score to 42-20 by the end of the third, a deficit the Eagles cut but never quite recovered from.

It was another big night for Jameson Habing, who almost dropped a double-double on 24 points and nine boards. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 15.4 points per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Rylen McKee, who went 5 of 12 on his way to 13 points.

Meanwhile, Mason Classical Academy played a tough matchup on Thursday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They took a blow against Donahue Catholic, falling 86-33.

Babcock's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-9. As for Mason Classical Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-6.

Everything came up roses for Babcock against Mason Classical Academy when the teams last played back in January of 2024, as the squad secured a 60-21 win. In that contest, Babcock amassed a halftime lead of 30-10, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Tuesday.
