Basketball Recap: Wade Hampton Comes Up Short

Wade Hampton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They took a blow against the Gaffney Indians, falling 80-23. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Generals this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 81-13 back in December of 2024.

Wade Hampton's defeat dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Gaffney, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 18-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wade Hampton will face off against James F. Byrnes at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. James F. Byrnes will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Wade Hampton surely won't give up without a fight. Gaffney has already played their next game (against Eastside), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
