Softball Recap: North Myrtle Beach Comes Up Short

The North Myrtle Beach Chiefs didn't have quite enough to beat the Canfield Cardinals on Tuesday and fell 5-4. The Chiefs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Kiera Olson made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.

North Myrtle Beach's loss dropped their record down to 11-10. As for Canfield, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches. That lines up perfectly with their 10-1-1 record this season.

North Myrtle Beach will be taking part in a tournament against East Carteret at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Mariners have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.71 runs per game on average), something the Chiefs will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Canfield, they will take on Paul VI at 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday. The Panthers will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Cardinals surely won't give up without a fight.
