Volleyball Game Preview: Cloverdale Eagles vs. Clear Lake Cardinals + How To Watch

The Cloverdale Eagles will head out to square off against the Clear Lake Cardinals at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Cloverdale has four straight wins, Clear Lake has four straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

On Thursday, Cloverdale beat Upper Lake 3-1.

Cloverdale had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 23-25, 25-23, 25-17, 25-16.

Meanwhile, Clear Lake didn't have quite enough to beat Fort Bragg on Thursday and fell 3-2. While the Cardinals didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Timberwolves 25-13 in the first set.

Clear Lake wouldn't go down easily and took Fort Bragg into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking five-point loss. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 13-25, 25-19, 25-21, 22-25, 15-10.

Clear Lake's defeat dropped their record down to 7-14. As for Cloverdale, their victory bumped their record up to 16-7.

Everything went Cloverdale's way against Clear Lake when the teams last played back in September, as Cloverdale made off with a 3-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
