Baseball Recap: Goshen Gets the Win

Goshen won the last time they faced Wawasee and things went their way on Monday too. The RedHawks came out on top against the Warriors by a score of 5-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the RedHawks.

Bray Hoag spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on four hits and racked up 12 Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Braxton Cline was incredible, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, two doubles, and one run. That's the most RBI he has posted over his last ten games. Jaxon Miller was another key player, going 3-for-4 with one run.

Goshen's victory bumped their record up to 9-10. As for Wawasee, their loss was their 12th straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-19.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Goshen will take on rival NorthWood at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Wawasee is set to face off against their familiar foe Concord at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
