Baseball Recap: Clinton Comes Up Short

Clinton was the 8-6 winner over Monroe when they last played one another back in May of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Cougars fell 8-5 to the Cheesemakers on Friday. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Cole Williams was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Clinton's loss dropped their record down to 5-14. As for Monroe, their win bumped their record up to 9-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Clinton will challenge Brodhead/Juda at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Monroe, they will take on Dodgeville at 4:45 p.m. on Monday. The Dodgers' pitching crew has only allowed 3.4 runs per game this season, so the Cheesemakers' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
