Baseball Recap: Pieper Triumphs

Pieper saw some tournament action on Friday. They skirted past the Pioneer Diamondbacks 5-4. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Warriors.

Cole Johnson looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched.

At the plate, Cole Trejo was excellent, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

Pieper's victory bumped their record up to 4-1-1. As for Pioneer, their loss dropped their record down to 3-2.

Looking ahead, Pieper will host Wagner at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Pieper's pitching crew has only allowed 1.8 runs per game this season, so Wagner's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Pioneer, they are taking a road trip to face off against Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Memorial at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
