Langham Creek's last matchup with Cypress Ranch could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's contest on Saturday. The Lobos came up short against the Mustangs, falling 37-16. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last seven times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Despite the loss, Langham Creek still got an impressive performance from Andre Salazar, who rushed for 89 yards and one touchdown.

A big part of Cypress Ranch's victory came down to the chemistry between Braden Baker and his top target Manny Leyja. Baker threw for 239 yards and three TDs while completing 85.7% of his passes while Leyja picked up 150 receiving yards and three scores. Leyja really caught the secondary sleeping when he pulled down a catch that went for 73 yards.

Langham Creek's loss dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Cypress Ranch, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 8-2.

Langham Creek does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Cypress Ranch, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 40-24 victory against Klein on the 14th.
