Volleyball Game Preview: Big Walnut Golden Eagles vs. Lakota West Firebirds

The Big Walnut Golden Eagles will square off against the Lakota West Firebirds at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

On Thursday, Big Walnut didn't have quite enough to beat Westerville South and fell 3-2.

Big Walnut started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 23-25, 25-27, 25-17, 25-16, 15-5.

Meanwhile, Lakota West came up short against Middletown on Saturday and fell 2-0.

While Lakota West was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-18.

Lakota West's loss was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Big Walnut, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-6.
