Softball Preview: Green Sea Floyds Trojans vs. Loris Lions

Green Sea Floyds is 0-10 against Loris since February of 2019 but things could change on Wednesday. The Green Sea Floyds Trojans will face off against the Loris Lions at 6:00 p.m.

Green Sea Floyds saw some tournament action on Saturday. They fell 7-3 to Georgetown. The Trojans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Maci Collins was huge no matter where she played even without the win. On the mound, she struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits (and not a single walk). She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one earned run any time she's pitched this season. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing Two bases.

In other batting news, Claire Stroud was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-3. Another player making a difference was Kalleigh Wilhelm, who scored three runs while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.

Meanwhile, Loris gave up the first runs last Monday, but they didn't let that get them down. Everything went their way against Marion as Loris made off with an 11-4 victory.
