Basketball Recap: Timmy Mercer's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Bradenton Christian over Bayshore + How To Watch

After flying high against Imagine School at North Port on Saturday, Bradenton Christian came back down to earth. The Panthers lost 63-41 to the Bayshore Bruins on Tuesday. The matchup marked the Panthers' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Several Panthers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Timmy Mercer, who posted 12 points along with five assists and three steals. Kellen Ulrich was another key player, putting up eight points.

Bradenton Christian's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Bayshore, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bradenton Christian will host Saint Stephen's Episcopal at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. That contest will pit two of the most dominant guards against one another: Mercer and Lawaiian Long. As for Bayshore, they will be playing at home against Southeast at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Bruins are facing the Seminoles at the right time seeing as the Seminoles are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
