Softball Recap: Frisco Triumphs

After only two runs in their last matchup, Frisco made sure to put some runs up on the board against Braswell on Saturday. The Frisco Raccoons came out on top against the Braswell Bengals by a score of 10-6. Considering the Raccoons' hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Leila Hathaway was a standout: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Ali Hubbard, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one double.

Frisco was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Frisco's victory bumped their record up to 2-7-1. As for Braswell, their loss dropped their record down to 0-5.

The future could be bright for both Frisco and Braswell: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. Frisco will look to extend Liberty's three-game losing streak when they meet at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Braswell will try to hand Denton their third-straight defeat when the two meet at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday.
