Soccer Recap: Marshall Gets the Win

Marshall won the last time they faced Northview and things went their way on Saturday too. The Redhawks walked away with a 3-1 win over the Wildcats. That's two games straight that Marshall have won by exactly two goals.

The victory made it two in a row for Marshall and bumps their season record up to 4-7-2. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored six goals over those two games. As for Northview, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-10.

Marshall and Northview could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Michigan Rankings. The Redhawks (ranked 240th) will meet Western (ranked 90th) at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Northview will challenge Union at 6:45 p.m. on Monday with a big rank disadvantage (294 vs. 38).
