Soccer Game Preview: Venice vs. Bishop Verot

The Venice Indians will square off against the Bishop Verot Vikings at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Last Wednesday, Venice came up short against Sarasota and fell 4-2.

Meanwhile, Bishop Verot hasn't lost a match yet, a trend which continued in their latest game on Thursday. They never let Canterbury onto the board and left with a 5-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Vikings, who have now won eight contests by four goals or more so far this season.

They hit Canterbury with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Katie Pelkofski (2), Caroline Pelkofski, Lila Dinkel, and Alyvia Mueller.

Venice's loss dropped their record down to 6-5-3. As for Bishop Verot, their victory bumped their record up to 11-0-1.

Venice took their win against Bishop Verot when the teams last played back in January of 2020 by a conclusive 4-0. Does Venice have another victory up their sleeve, or will Bishop Verot turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
