With a playoff win on the line, Cardinal Gibbons rose to the challenge on Wednesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 1-0 win over the NSU University Sharks. The victory was nothing new for the Chiefs as they're now sitting on six straight.

Their one-goal win came courtesy of Mia Conard, who's now up to 14 this season.

Cardinal Gibbons pushed their record up to 13-5 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 20 goals over those four matches. As for NSU University, their loss dropped their record down to 10-4.

Coming up, Cardinal Gibbons will challenge Lake Highland Prep at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lake Highland Prep's defense has only allowed 0.5 goals per game this season, so Cardinal Gibbons' offense will have their work cut out for them. NSU University does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
