After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Newbury Park, Oaks Christian was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Agoura Chargers by a score of 3-1. This was a revenge game for the Lions: when they faced off against the Chargers back in March, they had to take a 3-0 loss.

Oaks Christian had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 14-25, 25-19, 25-21, 25-23.

Luke Maguire paced Oaks Christian's offense, picking up ten kills. Maguire got some help from Chase Jenkins and his 28 assists. Max Medrano controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Oaks Christian's win bumped their record up to 8-16. As for Agoura, they now have a losing record of 6-7.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Oaks Christian will take on rival Calabasas at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Agoura is set to face off against their familiar foe Thousand Oaks at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
