Volleyball Preview: Mahopac Indians vs. Poughkeepsie Pioneers        
        
		
             Mahopac is 4-0 against Poughkeepsie since October of 2022, and they'll have a chance to extend that success  on Monday. The Mahopac Indians will be staying on the road  to face off against the Poughkeepsie Pioneers at 4:30  p.m. Poughkeepsie took a loss in their last  match and will be looking to turn the tables on Mahopac, who comes in off a win.
 Last Tuesday, Mahopac beat Brewster 3-1.
 Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 28-26, 22-25,  25-22.
 Mahopac's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Andriana DiVincenzo, who  had nine  digs, five  kills,  and three  aces. DiVincenzo is also on a roll when it comes to  assists, as she's  now  posted 12 or more in the last seven games she's  played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was  Bella DeChico, who  had 12  digs, four  kills,  and three  aces.
 She wasn't the only good server: Mahopac  was lethal from the service line and  finished the game with 18  aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  served at least eight  aces in five consecutive  contests.
 Meanwhile, Poughkeepsie was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Wednesday as the team picked up their 17th straight  loss  dating back to last season. They lost  3-0 to Arlington.
 While Poughkeepsie was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Arlington's winning margin in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-4, 25-15,  25-19.
 Mahopac has  been performing  well recently as they've  won three of their last four games,  which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record  this season. As for Poughkeepsie, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.
 Everything went Mahopac's way against Poughkeepsie in their previous meeting  back in October of 2023, as Mahopac made off with  a  3-0 victory. Will Mahopac repeat their success,  or does  Poughkeepsie have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
