Baseball Recap: Northwestern Takes a Loss

Northwestern and St. Croix Falls squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Northwestern had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Saints by a score of 4-3. The loss continues a trend for the Tigers in their meetings with the Saints: they've now lost four in a row.

Northwestern's defeat dropped their record down to 19-7. As for St. Croix Falls, the victory (which was their 17th in a row) raised their record to 22-1.

Northwestern does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for St. Croix Falls, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 3-1 win against Elk Mound on the 9th.
