Volleyball Game Preview: Chatfield Gophers vs. Blooming Prairie Awesome Blossoms

The Chatfield Gophers will challenge the Blooming Prairie Awesome Blossoms at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Chatfield is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last three games.

If Byron wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Chatfield, they should've done a better job of containing Hannah Tweten. The Gophers were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Bears two weeks ago with plenty of help from Tweten, who had 18 digs and three assists. She has been hot, having posted ten or more digs the last six times she's played.

Chatfield not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Byron between 16 and 18 points across their sets. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-18, 25-16.

Meanwhile, Blooming Prairie posted their closest victory since September 7, 2024 on Monday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over St. Charles.

Blooming Prairie's victory bumped their record up to 3-16. As for Chatfield, their win bumped their record up to 21-7.
