Softball Recap: Monday's Victory Is Lasalle's Tenth in Last 11 Outings

LaSalle barely beat Georgetown the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The LaSalle Tigers' pitchers stepped up to hand the Georgetown Bulldogs a 17-0 shutout on Monday. The Tigers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 14 matches by six runs or more this season.

LaSalle is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. Georgetown dropped their record down to 7-8 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.

We've got a battle between Tigers coming up. As for Georgetown, they will head out on the road to take on Calvin at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
