Lake Region entered their tilt with Poland on Monday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the Knights 15-3. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 10-2 two weeks ago.

Haley Hamlin spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on two hits and racked up six Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Margo Tremblay, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, four RBI, and one triple. That triple marked the first that she has hit this season. Another player making a difference was Ava Cole, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with three runs.

Lake Region always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .537. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Lake Region's record is now 6-3. As for Poland, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lake Region's homestand will continue as they prepare to take on Leavitt at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Hornets will roll in looking for their 11th straight win, something the Lakers surely won't give up without a fight. As for Poland, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Mountain Valley at 4:00 p.m. on June 4.
