It was a good run, but Manteo unfortunately witnessed the end of their 11-match winning streak on Monday. They fell just short of the Holmes Aces by a score of 2-1. Manteo were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced Holmes earlier this season, when they won 3-1.

Manteo's goal came courtesy of Alex Amezquita-Reyes, who's now up to 17 this season.

Manteo's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 7-1 and their overall record down to 15-4. As for Holmes, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-5-3 record this season.

As of now, neither Manteo nor Holmes have any future games scheduled.
