Basketball Recap: South Iron Takes a Loss

South Iron was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss. They fell 53-44 to the Van Buren Bulldogs. The Panthers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bulldogs apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2023.

South Iron's loss dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Van Buren, their win ended a nine-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 4-6.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Clearwater the next time they take the court. Van Buren will head out to face Clearwater at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while South Iron will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
