Baseball Game Preview: Barbers Hill Eagles vs. Sterling Rangers

For the second straight game, Barbers Hill will face off against Sterling. The Eagles will venture away from home to face off against the Rangers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Barbers Hill's pitching crew has only allowed two runs per game this season, so Sterling's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Barbers Hill's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They walked away with a 3-0 victory over Sterling. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Rangers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Not much got past Ayden Mooring, who gave up just two hits to keep Sterling off the board. Mooring has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Barbers Hill saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Joseph Ponder, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one run. That triple was Ponder's first of the season. Roque Garcia was another, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.

Barbers Hill's victory bumped their record up to 21-5. As for Sterling, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-13.
