El Dorado Springs has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. The El Dorado Springs Bulldogs and the Weaubleau Tigers will face off at 5:30 p.m. on January 23rd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. El Dorado Springs will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Missouri Rankings (they are ranked 191st, while Weaubleau is ranked 37th).
El Dorado Springs suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Saturday. Their tough 59-37 defeat to Chadwick might stick with them for a while. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points El Dorado Springs has scored all season.
Meanwhile, Weaubleau waltzed into their contest on Saturday with 12 straight wins but they left with 13. Everything went their way against Tipton as Weaubleau made off with a 72-47 victory. Weaubleau has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 17 contests by 23 points or more this season.
El Dorado Springs has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-7 record this season. As for Weaubleau, their victory was their 17th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-1.
El Dorado Springs came up short against Weaubleau in their previous meeting back in December of 2022, falling 65-60. Can El Dorado Springs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
