After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Trinity Christian Academy, Columbia was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over the Suwannee Bulldogs. That's more bragging rights for the Tigers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Columbia saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Trayce McKenzie, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. Casen Maddox also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Columbia is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-4 record this season. Suwannee is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Columbia will face off against Beachside at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The last five games Beachside has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Suwannee, they will take on Buchholz at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average, (Suwannee: 3.7, Buchholz: 2.1) so any runs scored will be well earned.
