If Northwestern Regional was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Canton on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Highlanders fell just short of the Granby Memorial Bears by a score of 3-2 on Wednesday. The Highlanders' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Northwestern Regional sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 16-25, 25-14, 20-25, 15-12.

Taylor Kelley paced Northwestern Regional's offense, picking up ten kills. Kelley got some help from Josephine Quinto and her 29 assists. Devyn Kinosh controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Northwestern Regional's loss dropped their record down to 13-6. As for Granby Memorial, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-8 record this season.

Northwestern Regional will welcome Gilbert at 5:15 p.m. on Friday. Granby Memorial does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
