Soccer Recap: Grand Rapids Takes a Loss

Grand Rapids was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Hermantown Hawks. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Grand Rapids of the 3-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

Grand Rapids' defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Hermantown, they now have a winning record of 4-3-2.

While Grand Rapids had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
