There's no place like home for Waverly, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Monday. They slipped by the Washington Blue Lions 54-53 on Thursday. For the Tigers, this counts as revenge for the 50-44 victory the Blue Lions walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2019.

Washington's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jeston Everhart, who posted 18 points. That's the most points Everhart has posted since back in November of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Jacob Lindsey, who dropped a double-double with 11 points and ten rebounds.

Waverly's win bumped their record up to 8-15. As for Washington, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-14 record this season.

Waverly will take on Jackson at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Jackson will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Waverly surely won't give up without a fight. Washington does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
