Baseball Recap: King's Takes a Loss

King fell victim to Overlake and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They came up short against the Owls, falling 6-0. Surprisingly, this marked the fourth straight game that the away team has come away the victor.

Titan Root was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he tossed five innings while giving up three earned runs off eight hits. He also tossed no walks, which is notable because King's is 3-1 when he allows at most two walks, but 2-3 otherwise.

King's dropped their record down to 5-4 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home. As for Overlake, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-1.

While King's had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
