Baseball Game Preview: Terra Nova Tigers vs. Rancho San Juan Trailblazers

The Terra Nova Tigers will head out on the road to take on the Rancho San Juan Trailblazers at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Terra Nova will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

Terra Nova hadn't beaten Sacred Heart Prep on the road since May 4, 2018 but that history sure didn't bother them on Friday. Terra Nova came out on top against Sacred Heart Prep by a score of 5-2.

Jesse Martinez spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on five hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Terra Nova saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was JT Snead, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2. That stolen base was Snead's first of the season. Luke Ornelas was another, scoring a run and stealing Two bases. while going 1-for-3.

Meanwhile, Rancho San Juan fell victim to Carmel and their airtight pitching crew on Saturday. They lost 14-0 to the Padres.

Terra Nova now has a winning record of 3-2-1. As for Rancho San Juan, their loss dropped their record down to 4-3.
