Basketball Recap: South Adams Drops Highest Score of Season Against Northfield

South Adams was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost to the Northfield Norsemen on the road by a 59-43 margin. One positive for the Starfires, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

South Adams lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Henry Craig, who posted 11 points. Those 11 points gave Craig a new career-high. Isaac Scott was another key player, putting up nine points and five steals.

Even though they lost, South Adams was working as a unit and finished the game with 12 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Carter Rodgers continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Northfield, going 5 of 11 on his way to 15 points along with seven boards and five assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Parker Oswalt, who put up ten points and five rebounds.

South Adams' loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Northfield, they pushed their record up to 5-4 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

South Adams will welcome Blackford at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Northfield, they will venture away from home to square off against North Miami at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Northfield has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
