Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Clayton). They walked away with a 62-53 victory over the Corinth Holders Pirates on Friday. This was payback for the Comets, who suffered a 59-24 loss the last time these two teams met.

Corinth Holders lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Jada Vanderhorst, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 14 rebounds. Vanderhorst has been hot, having also posted two or more blocks the last seven times she's played. Another player making a difference was Darla Lee, who went 10 for 24 on her way to 25 points.

The win got Clayton back to even at 5-5. As for Corinth Holders, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-7 record this season.

Clayton will host Cleveland at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Corinth Holders, they will face off against Garner at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
