Basketball Recap: Ellsworth Snags Sixth Win in Last Seven Games

On Monday, the Ellsworth Panthers earned a 53-45 victory over the Elmwood/Plum City Wolves. Given the Panthers' advantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 148th, while the Wolves are ranked 393rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Ellsworth has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season. As for Elmwood/Plum City, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last ten games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 6-14 record this season.

Looking ahead, Ellsworth will face off against Osceola at 5:45 p.m. on Thursday. As for Elmwood/Plum City, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 75-55 defeat against Elk Mound on the 18th.
