Fairview is a perfect 4-0 against Pandora-Gilboa since April of 2023 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Saturday. The Apaches will be playing in front of their home fans against the Rockets at 12:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Fairview has eight straight victories, Pandora-Gilboa has 11 straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Fairview is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They blew past Antwerp 15-4 on Thursday. Considering the Apaches have won five matchups by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Cole Mack and Elijah Arend made a big impact no matter where they played. On the mound, Mack tossed 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Arend struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and only one walk). He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. At the plate, Mack got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two runs, while Arend went 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. That stolen base marked the first that Arend has snagged this season.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Logan Olinger, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. Shady Fritch was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Fairview was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .448. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Pandora-Gilboa came up short against Elmwood on Friday, falling 21-3.
Pandora-Gilboa saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gavin Lee, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one double.
Pandora-Gilboa's loss dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Fairview, they pushed their record up to 7-0 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season.
Pandora-Gilboa's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Fairview has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .498. It's a different story for Pandora-Gilboa, though, as they've only averaged .296. Will they be able to contain Fairview's hitters?
Fairview skirted past Pandora-Gilboa 3-2 in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Will the Apaches repeat their success, or do the Rockets have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
