It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Schurr can now relate to. They fell just short of the Muir Mustangs by a score of 22-19 on Friday. The Spartans' loss signaled the end of their eight-game winning streak.

When it comes to explaining why Schurr lost, don't look at Elias Navarro. Despite the final result, he rushed for 166 yards and three touchdowns. Navarro has been hot , having posted two or more rushing touchdowns the last eight times he's played.

Schurr wouldn't let Muir keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force two fumbles. Schurr can thank Caesar Aguila and Hadrian Segura for forcing both of them. Another thorn in Muir's side was Jacob Morago, who picked up two sacks and made six total tackles.

Alijah Parker was his usual excellent self, rushing for 131 yards and a touchdown on only ten carries for Muir. Parker's longest rush was for an incredible 73 yards.

Schurr's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-2. As for Muir, the win was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-2.

Schurr does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Muir, they will face off against St. Francis at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Muir is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road.
