Softball Game Preview: Kings Knights vs. Edgewood Cougars

The Kings Knights will face off against the Edgewood Cougars at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Kings is coming into the contest hot, having won their last 25 games.

Kings is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They never let Loveland get on the board and left with a 26-0 win. The Knights might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 18 games by seven runs or more this season.

Meanwhile, Edgewood was able to grind out a solid victory over Stebbins on Wednesday, taking the game 4-1.

Kings' win was their 29th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 25-1. As for Edgewood, their victory bumped their record up to 9-17.

Kings came out on top in a nail-biter against Edgewood in their previous matchup back in May of 2023, sneaking past 3-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Knights since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
