Basketball Game Preview: Lookeba-Sickles Panthers vs. Carnegie Wildcats

Lookeba-Sickles hasn't had much luck against Carnegie recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Lookeba-Sickles Panthers face off against the Carnegie Wildcats at 5:15 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Last Saturday, Lookeba-Sickles took a blow against Fletcher, falling 63-33. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Carnegie was beaten by Fort Cobb-Broxton 78-47 on Monday. The Wildcats haven't had much luck with the Mustangs recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.

Lookeba-Sickles will need focus on slowing down Kevin Galvez, one of several Carnegie players who made an impact when they last played. He went 5 for 9 en route to 10 points and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Ken Whittington, who posted ten points.

Lookeba-Sickles' loss dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Carnegie, they now have a losing record at 7-8.

Lookeba-Sickles couldn't quite finish off Carnegie in their previous meeting back in December of 2024 and fell 46-43. Can Lookeba-Sickles avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
