Steele Canyon had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Central Spartans. The Cougars have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Spartans, too.

Taylor Carpenter paced Steele Canyon's offense, picking up 11 kills. Carpenter got some help from Maddison Barefield and her 18 assists. Carpenter was also solid from the service line: she led the team with six aces.

When it comes to explaining why Central lost, don't look at Emma Vogel. Despite the final result, she had eight digs and two aces.

Steele Canyon's record is now 3-1. As for Central, their loss dropped their record down to 2-1.

Steele Canyon didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Santana on the 16th. As for Central, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against Clairemont on the 16th.
