Basketball Recap: Osakis Takes a Loss

After flying high against Long Prairie-Grey Eagle last Tuesday, Osakis came back down to earth. The Osakis Silverstreaks were just a bucket shy of victory on Friday and fell 58-57 to the Spectrum Sting. The loss was the Silverstreaks' first of the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Osakis fell to 3-1. As for Spectrum, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 3-4 record this season.

Osakis and Maranatha Christian Academy will face off at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. Maranatha Christian Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past five matchups -- so hopefully Osakis likes a good challenge. As for Spectrum, they and Hawley will face off at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. Spectrum is facing Hawley at the right time seeing as Hawley is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
