On Thursday, Caston earned a 3-1 victory over Lakeland Christian Academy. The Comets haven't had any issues with the Cougars recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.
The final score came out to 25-7, 24-26, 27-25, 25-14.

Caston's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Hadlie Coffing, who had 13 digs, and Natalie Warner, who had 11 kills, two blocks, and two aces. Warner has been hot, having posted seven or more kills the last six times she's played. Berry Genevieve also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.
They weren't the only good servers: Caston was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 14 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for DeMotte Christian, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over Hammond Academy of Science & Tech on Friday.
DeMotte Christian's got stronger as the match went on, holding Hammond Academy of Science & Tech to fewer and fewer points set over set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-12, 25-8.
Caston's record is now 7-23. As for DeMotte Christian, their record now sits at 10-19.
Caston couldn't quite get it done against DeMotte Christian in their previous meeting back in August as they fell 2-0. Can the Comets avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
