Soccer Game Preview: Shoemaker vs. Midway

Shoemaker is 0-10 against Midway since February of 2019 but things could change on Tuesday. Wolves will host the Panthers at 7:30 p.m.

Having struggled with five defeats in a row, Shoemaker turned things around against Temple on Friday. They and the Wildcats finished up their match with a 2-2 draw. The result (or lack thereof) was the first time Shoemaker have been dealt a draw since back in January.

Joushua Torres and Keanuss Valdivia scored both of Shoemaker's goals, bringing their combined season tally to seven goals.

Meanwhile, Midway hasn't lost a match since January 10th, a trend which continued in their latest game on Friday. They won by a goal and slipped past Harker Heights 3-2. The victory was all the more spectacular given Midway's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 413th, while Harker Heights are ranked 204th).

Shoemaker's draw makes their record 2-11-3 this season. As for Midway, their win bumped their record up to 8-5-3.
